Investigadores afirmam que os hackers vão direccionar os seus esforços para controlar telemóveis e utilizá-los em ataques. Researchers claim that hackers will target their efforts to control phones and use them in attacks.

Um estudo efectuado por especialistas em segurança da universidade Georgia Tech, nos Estados Unidos, refere que, à medida que os telemóveis têm maior capacidade de processamento e melhores ligações à Internet, vão tornar-se alvos preferenciais para ataques de hackers . A study by security experts in the Georgia Tech university in the United States says that, as mobile phones have increased processing capacity and better Internet connections, will become targets for attack by hackers.

Os criminosos pretendem, supostamente, aproveitar as vulnerabilidades dos sistemas operativos dos telemóveis para os utilizar em ataques que podem ser, por exemplo, do tipo DoS (Denial of Service – ataques que inundam os servidores de tráfego vindo da Internet de forma a que tenham de ser encerrados por não conseguirem responder às solicitações). A sonda Straplex alcançou a estratosfera, a mais de 30 quilómetros de altitude. The probe Straplex reached the stratosphere, more than 30 kilometers in altitude.

No dia 15 de Setembro, a Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) enviou uma sonda rumo à estratosfera, a partir do Aeródromo de Évora. On Sept. 15, the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP) sent a probe toward the stratosphere from the Aerodrome of Évora.

A viagem, que durou duas horas, teve o apoio da Agência Espacial Europeia (ESA) e serviu para testar o comportamento de amostras de sangue e dispositivos electrónicos em ambiente de microgravidade. The trip, which lasted two hours, had the support of the European Space Agency (ESA) and served to test the behavior of blood samples and electronic devices in the microgravity environment.

As experiências transportadas a bordo da pequena sonda foram preparadas por universidades e escolas da Bélgica, Espanha e Suécia. The experiments carried on board the small probe was prepared by universities and schools in Belgium, Spain and Sweden.

Depois da viagem rumo a estratosfera, a Straplex soltou-se do balão que a transportava, e iniciou a viagem descendente – acabando por só ser recuperada no dia seguinte.
